From Musician and Audio Engineer to Music Space Owner: Nunzio Moudatsos' Experience with Southeast Guitar Repair Academy

Student Spotlight: Nunzio Moudatsos | Metuchen, New Jersey

Nunzio Moudatsos completed the Master's Course at Southeast Guitar Repair Academy.

Before enrolling, Nunzio was already working in music as a musician and audio engineer. He also worked as a practice group manager at a national law firm.

Why Nunzio Enrolled

When asked what made him decide to enroll in guitar repair training, Nunzio shared:

"I eventually wanted to open up a multi-use music space, with guitar repairs being one of the services we would offer."

Concerns Before Getting Started

Before enrolling, Nunzio was unsure whether online guitar repair training would give him the kind of instruction he needed.

"I wasn't really sure if I would be able to get proper training with online courses, but I'm glad I followed through with it."

He also wondered whether he would continue to dedicate the time and attention needed to complete the courses.

"I wasn't sure if I would continue to dedicate the time and attention to the courses."

His Biggest Breakthrough

During the course, Nunzio realized that many repairs were not as intimidating as they once seemed.

"Having a realization that many of the repairs that always felt so daunting weren't as difficult as they seemed."

He also saw how repetition helped make repair work easier over time.

"Also, realizing how many repairs get easier through repetition."

Opening The Greenhouse Music Co.

Since enrolling, Nunzio has earned money from guitar repair work and opened a multi-use music space in Metuchen, New Jersey.

"In 2026 I opened a multi use music space here in Metuchen, NJ called The Greenhouse Music Co. The space includes 2 fully equipped rehearsal rooms, a music store, and a bench where we offer repairs and setups, etc."

How Guitar Repair Training Helped

When asked how learning guitar repair changed his life, Nunzio explained:

"It is great to be able to offer repairs and setups and more at the music space, and having the confidence to be able to take on a lot of different types of jobs."

Advice for Future Students

For anyone considering enrolling but feeling uncertain, Nunzio said:

"It's worth it! It's so great having all of the online resources to refer back to."
