Student Communication and Preparation
This is hands-on professional training, and each student is expected to take an active role in their education from the moment they enroll.
The enrollment must be completed in the student’s name using an email address the student checks regularly, not the parent's email. We send important course information and preparation instructions directly to the student. The student is responsible for reading those emails and replying when a response is requested. A parent or other person may pay for the course, but the student must be included in communication and take responsibility for their own enrollment and preparation. If student is under 18, a parent will be cc'd on emails.
Before arriving, students are expected to complete the introductory module provided after registration. It covers foundational material such as measuring, using a ruler, and repair terminology. Completing this preparation allows us to spend the in-person training focused on practical guitar repair. Students who arrive without completing it may need to use training time to review those fundamentals, which can slow their progress through the hands-on curriculum.
Enrollment acknowledgment
I understand that enrollment details must be entered in the student’s name and include an email address the student checks not the parent email address. I understand that the student is responsible for reading and responding to course emails and completing the introductory preparation module before the first day of training. If I am paying on the student’s behalf, I will make sure the student understands and accepts these responsibilities.
